Bluetrans – Ocean health in transition
Project description
Oceans are looked upon as the new economic frontier for sustainable development. Increased human activities are changing coastal ecosystems with implications for people living near the coast. In WP3 we use web-based PPGIS and invite 17 000 residents to map local perceptions of ocean health. We map their coastal places and concerns about environmental changes in northern Norway. University of Tromso is leading the participatory mapping of coastal areas with Norwegian Institute of Nature Research as partners and leaders of the overall Bluetrans project.
